Connection between GTD and Zettelkasten

In Getting Things Done terminology, all notes are Reference Material. GTD doesn’t get into specifics of how to manage that type of content. GTD is really about task management and creating forward momentum on productivity. It’s incredible for that.

It feels great to have GTD as my system for task management, reminders, and getting everything out of my head in terms of “what I need to get done”. Zettelkasten is awesome as a methodology for that reference material, organizing it in a networked way.

I think ■ Areas of Focus (GTD) is a great concept too from GTD which can actually overlap between GTD and Zettelkasten.

Capture is a key concept in GTD, and usage of todo items in Bear and backlinking is very valuable as an enhanced approach to this.
